Great Scott, he's a BisonThe Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of Dan Scott from the Telford Tigers.
In a busy week of roster moves for the club, the 24-year-old is no stranger to fans of the Herd, having spent the past five seasons in the EPIHL, playing for a mixture of Telford and Slough Jets.
A former captain at international youth level, the Chatman-born defence has also laced up the skates in the Elite League for the Hull Stingrays and Coventry Blaze – as well as spending time in North America at Northwood School Prep.
It’s this mix which saw Director of Hockey Doug Sheppard make his move.
“Dan very much fits in with the ethos of players that I try to sign – young, hungry guys, who display great leadership qualities. We all know what Dan will bring to the club both on and off the ice, and I cannot wait to see how he settles in to life with the Bison.
“The moves we are making show a determination to keep progressing this season and beyond as we continue to add to an exciting, young British core at the club.
“It has proved our path to success in the past and will do so again. There’s plenty of reasons to be excited about the future of this team and I hope our fanbase’s continued support will be rewarded come the end of this campaign.”
Dan's own-and-loan jerseys are now available to purchase for the remainder of the 2016/17 season. Costing £150 each, they are available on a first-come, first-served basis by emailing email@example.com
Dan will make his debut in this Saturday's home game against the Guildford Flames (6.30pm face-off).
