Bison hope to silence the Steeldogs

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison will be looking to complete a clean sweep of home wins over the Sheffield Steeldogs, when the Yorkshire side come to town on Saturday.

The Herd have already beaten the Dogs twice this season 3-0 and 5-3 and the visitors cause has not been helped this time as they are without suspended pair Donatas Kumeliauskas and Callum Pattison.

They will still have one of the most dangerous imports in their line-up which is Arnoldas Bosas.

The Bison will be looking to build on last week’s double success over Peterborough and Bracknell, which saw the Herd hammer in 11 goals.

British forward Joe Miller is again expected to miss the weekend games.

Looking ahead to the Bison’s second home game of 2017 and head coach Doug Sheppard said: “Sheffield are also a tough team to beat and we have to keep a watchful eye on Bosas. I feel it we play as well as can, we are a match for any team in this league. We showed signs last week of what we can do and I hope this continues.”

Tickets for Saturday's game which is sure to be a very entertaining game are still on sale from box office on (01256) 355266 or from the website.

On Sunday night (6pm) the Bison are on their travels to league leaders the Telford Tigers.
