Bison aim to help Scott achieve his hockey dream

Saturday will be an incredible night for Scott Benwell, as the Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison lend a hand in helping him achieve his ice hockey dream.

Scott is an 11-year-old who is an active member of the SPICE programme, which aims to teach children and young adults with additional needs to ice skate and play hockey in a calm and caring environment.

His dream could come true in March, when the SHI International takes place in Ontario, Canada - the largest special needs hockey tournament in the world, with teams from across North America and the UK making the trip.

We at the Bison wanted to lend a helping hand to make his wish come true - so this Saturday, Scott will be our mascot for the game against the Bracknell Bees, and we hope to help him raise the funds he needs to make the trip.

We will have donation buckets available on the Booster Club tables throughout the night, but if you want to support Scott in advance, then please visit his Crowd Funding Just Giving page now for more information.

We look forward to welcoming Scott to the Basingstoke Arena on Saturday and hope we can help him achieve his dream of playing hockey in Canada.
