Bison out to tame Tigers

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison will be looking to continue their impress home form when the EPL league leaders the Telford Tigers visit on Saturday.

This is the second game of the weekend for the Herd, as they travel to the Milton Keynes Lightning on Friday night (7.30pm), before they clash with Tigers in a game which starts 6.30pm.

The Bison have won the last two games against Telford, including the last one which was played in Shropshire.

However, they lost the first three games of the regular season, so the Tigers lead the league series 3-2.

The Herd will be without defenceman Stuart Mogg and forward Ivan Antonov still away with British University team, while former Tiger forward Joe Miller and Aaron Connolly could well be forced to sit out this weekend as well.

Looking ahead to the contest Bison head coach Doug Sheppard said: "We have been playing well at home backed by our great fans. The Telford is the second part of a tough weekend and we will be short staffed for the game, but the guys have been finding a way to win games."

Tickets for Saturday's game which should be a real cracker are available from the Bison box office on (01256) 355266 or via the Bison website.

On Sunday, the Bison have no game, but the Buffalo are in action against the Bristol Pitbulls which starts at 6.30pm, where Kyle Goddard and Paul Petts who recently made their Herd debuts will be in action.
