Bison aim to stop Lightning strikeThe Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison will be hoping to complete a clean sweep of home wins over the Milton Keynes Lightning on Saturday night.
The Herd were in great form when last on home ice, as they recorded a magnificent 7-1 victory over the Hull Pirates.
However, since then they have lost two road games both by the odd goal in Hull and Guildford.
So the Bison will be keen to bounce back to winning ways, against a side who have beaten them in their last two meetings, but these were all in MK.
Before this the Herd enjoyed two wins on home ice and would love to make it three on Saturday.
The Lightning will travel to Basingstoke minus the suspended Milan Baranyk, while the Bison will be without injured defenceman Dan Scott.
This is the Herd's only game of the weekend and head coach Doug Sheppard is keen for his side to make their home venue a fortress, ahead of the end of season play-offs.
Sheppard said: "We know we are in for a hard game on Saturday, but we have matched up well against Milton Keynes this season. I want us to make our home rink a place teams do not want to come to in the play-offs and to do this we have to keep winning."
Tickets for what is sure to be an excellent game which starts at 6.30pm are still available from the box office on (01256) 355266 or from the Bison website.
