Herd hope to maintain purr-fect home record

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison will be looking to continue their purr-fect home record in the play-offs, when the Swindon Wildcats are the visitors on Sunday evening (5.30pm).

The Herd opened their campaign with a magnificent 7-0 victory over the Hull Pirates, who were well and truly sunk, as captain Aaron Connolly led the scoring with a hat-trick.

Before their next home game, the Bison are on the road away at the Milton Keynes Lightning on Saturday night.
Then on Sunday, Swindon will arrive in Basingstoke looking for their first win of this season.

Only last weekend, the Wildcats were in action in Hampshire surrendering a 2-0 lead as they lost 4-2.

However, they will have a full line-up this weekend, as will the Bison as Vanya Antonov will be back.

Swindon opened their play-off campaign with a 5-1 reverse at Milton Keynes on Wednesday night.

Looking ahead to next two games in the series, Bison head coach Doug Sheppard said: "We wanted to get off to good start in the play-offs and did that against Hull and played very well. We have yet to win in Milton Keynes this season so we will be looking to break our duck. Then on Sunday we play Swindon, who have ran us close all season."

Tickets for what is sure to be a very exciting game on Sunday night are still available from the box office on 01256 355266 or the Bison website.
