No return for Hiadlovsky and JarolinThe Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are sad to confirm that two of the title winning 2015/16 side won't be returning to the Herd next season.
Tomas Hiadlovsky and Rene Jarolin both made significant contributions to the club over the past two seasons - with the Slovakian pairing striking up a formidable partnership, both on and off the ice.
Director of Hockey Doug Sheppard noted "With the changes in the league structure this summer, we knew there were going to have to be some decisions taken that we did not want to make. Sadly, for us and our fanbase, these include the departure of Tomas and Rene.
"Both of them were great servants to our team and helped create some tremendous memories for our club. On behalf of everyone associated with the Bison organisation, I would like to thank them for their contributions and wish them all the greatest of success moving forward."
Tomas joined the club at the start of the 2015/16 season following three seasons in the Elite League with Edinburgh and immediately made his impact felt in the Bison net as he helped the club end their title drought.
The 28-year-old made 91 competitive appearances for the club, with his six league shut-outs leaving him just one shy of the club record.
Rene would join the Herd later in that season and set about proving a point as his goals and playmaking helped lift the side to title success.
Voted the fan's player of the year last season, the 35-year-old would score 51 competitive goals for the Stampede in a points haul of 116 during 96 appearances for the club.
