Trio of re-signings kickstart off-season

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are pleased to announce the re-signing of Dan Davies, Dan Scott and Vanya Antonov.

The return of three of the Bison's top British players, is great way to start to the new Herd roster for their coming campaign in September.

Forward Davies joined the Bison this time last year from Telford, and finished the season with 43 points to his name.

As well as playing for the Tigers, he also had five seasons at Slough and one at Bracknell and 27-year-old played over 400 EPL games returning 371 points.

A versatile forward is a solid centreman and is as good on the powerplay as the penalty kill.

Defenceman Scott joined the Bison mid way through last season from Telford and like Davies also played in Slough and had one full season in the Elite League with Hull.

Having waited five years for his first play-off goal, the 25-year-old scored twice in one game for the Herd during the post season just gone

A solid stay at home blue liner, who puts in a shift every time he takes to the ice.

Forward Antonov joined the Bison last summer having always played in Bracknell and for the past four years has been a Great Britain junior international.

The 20-year-old proved to be a joy to watch in his first campaign with the Herd and finished with 20 goals to his name.

Bison head coach Doug Sheppard is delighted with his triple re-signing and said: "All three players bring something different to the tea

m and I am really pleased to have all three of them back. This is a great start to the team for the coming season and I sure the fans will be excited to see all three back in a Bison jersey."
