Roehl and Rand depart

Following the confirmation of the NIHL 1 South structure for the 2017/18 season earlier today - we are now in the position to confirm a further two departures from the club, with Derek Roehl and Joe Rand not returning for the new campaign.

Roehl joined the club during the past season and made his impact felt during the playoffs, ending as the team's leading points scorer in the post-season as we fell at the semi-final stage.

Overall, Roehl made 51 appearances for the club, registering 52 points, of which 25 were goals.

We wish Derek all the best with his future career away from the Bison organisation.

Meanwhile, as many of our supporters are aware, Joe Rand has returned home to Canada and retired from the sport after making a return to the team during the last campaign.

Overall his five seasons with the club, Joe ended up making 224 competitive appearances in our colours and we wish him, his wife Heidi and their son Jackson well upon their return home.

Excitingly, we will be making an announcement tomorrow morning concerning one player who WILL be back for the NIHL campaign.
