Czech out this import signing

The Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison are delighted to announce the signing of import Jaroslav Cesky.

The Czech Republic born forward will add even more firepower to the Herd's offence for the forth coming campaign and is sure to one the club's top goal scorer.

The 39-year-old bring a lot fo experience to the line-up having played in North America and then France, before making his British debut for the Bracknell Bees in the autumn of 2009.

This proved to be a superb debut year for the forward, as he finished it as EPL Player of the Year, as he collected 119 points and backed it up the following year with 80 more points in a Bees uniform.

He then moved to Swindon and after a brief stop in Telford he joined the Herd in season 2012/13, when the Bison decided to go with four import forwards.

He played 44 league and play-off games for Basingstoke and collected 52 points.
The following year he played at Peterborough and Manchester in the EPL and also Edinburgh and Cardiff in the Elite League.

He then moved to the Isle of Wight to laced up his skates for the Wightlink Raiders in South One and helped them to the play-off crown in his first campaign with the team.
Last season would have been his third campaign on the island, but the team folded and he joined the Oxford City Stars, where in 21 games he returned 31 points.

Cesky played alongside head coach Doug Sheppard when last in Basingstoke, so he knows exactly what the Czech forward brings to the team.

Sheppard said: "I was very happy to have signed Jaroslav Cesky and I think it will score a lot of goals for the team this season. He will be an important part of one of our powerplay units. He has an excellent work ethic and is in great shape."

Supporters will once again have the opportunity to own-and-loan their favourite players jersey in the 2017/18 campaign.

Jerseys will cost just £115 this season - with the option of a light or dark jersey up for grabs.

They are available on a first-come, first-served basis from noon by emailing cat@boostthebison.com. If you do not receive a reply to your email - then you have been unsuccessful in your attempt.
