Weekend Preview - Just the one game this weekend

Following the postponement of Friday’s opening leg of the cup final it’s a single game weekend for the Sherfield School Basingstoke Bison as the Herd travel to Peterborough to take on the Phantoms.

The Bison will be without import forward Roman Malinik who has returned home following the sudden and unexpected passing of his Mother. He’ll be back home for the funeral and to spend time with his family. Roman has left with the club’s best wishes at this difficult time and will return to the Herd when he feels he is ready.

Also missing from the line up for tonight’s league clash will be Grant Rounding who is still sidelined with the head injury sustained in last weekend’s Bracknell game. He is being monitored and will return when medically cleared to do so.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard said; “The guys will be wearing black arm bands this evening to show their support for Roman at this horrible time. Our condolences go out to Roman and his family at such a tough time.

He added; “Missing two important guys will add to the challenge but we knew Peterborough would be a tough place to go and we’re ready and prepared.. We’ve practiced well for this weekend so we’ll be ready for the tough challenge ahead tonight.
