Bison Update ...The Basingstoke Bison would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to all those volunteers who have decided to follow Doug Sheppard to the Bracknell Bees, as announced yesterday. While with us for varying lengths of time, all of them have done a superb job in supporting the club through the good and bad times. Their work for the Bison has been tireless and they’ve each made a difference to the organisation in their own way. We wish them all the best for the future.
As with all clubs the off ice side of our organisation is of paramount importance to assist with the smooth running of the team and we can confirm that the following individuals have agreed to be part of our off ice team next season.
The “Voice of the Bison” Daren Bavister will be back behind the mic providing his unique match night entertainment.
Gary Mitchell is returning as the Herds equipment manager.
Glenn Wells will once again be back as team medic.
We thank these individuals for their continued help, support and faith in the club.
As a club we will also be looking for more volunteers and helpers to assist in various roles, if any individuals have the passion, drive and energy to help the club moving forwards, in the first instance could they please email firstname.lastname@example.org with their name and a contact number.
Head Coach Ashley Tait continues his quest to assemble a strong new roster for the upcoming season and we can confirm that our first signings for coach Tait’s inaugural season will be announced tomorrow evening at 6pm
We know that our fans are the most loyal and supportive in British hockey and we assure them that we intend to reward them with a competitive team who come to play for them every night.
We thank all our fans for their patience while work goes on behind the scenes to ensure we deliver a great match night experience for all next season.
