Danny Re-Joins the herd

Its Thursday and another signing is announced with the Basingstoke Bison confirming they are adding more firepower to the roster with the addition to the line-up of Danny Ingoldsby.

As exclusively revealed in today’s Basingstoke Gazette the returning British sharp shooter, was part of the Herd's double winning side in the 2013/14 side, the year the Bison won both the EPIHL Cup and were EPIHL play-off champions.

2013 / 14 was Danny’s debut year in senior ice hockey and from here the 21-year-old played for Bracknell also in the EPIHL, before a season with the Wightlink Raiders in the ENIHL. When they ceased to operate in the autumn of 2016, he returned to the Bees and last season hit a career high 18 points finding the net five times for Bracknell.

The Frimley-born forward started his career in the Basingstoke and Guildford junior programmes and is looking forward to once again pulling on a Bison jersey.

Danny had this to say on his signing for the Bison, “I’m so looking forward to being part of the new Bison team this coming Season! I'm very excited to pull on a bison jersey once again. I know how great the fans are and it will be great to play for Ash”.

Ingoldsby continued, “It was a great experience when I was last in Basingstoke winning the double in what was my first year in professional hockey and can't wait to play for the Bison again. My game is all about not being afraid to get into the corners and make things happen”.

Talking about his latest addition to the Herd, Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: "He has a gritty style and from what I have seen so far he has a great attitude, I can’t wait to see what Danny produces for us on the ice."

Danny shoots right. Weighs 220 lbs and id 6’1” tall.
