Weekend Preview: Streatham & Dynamos in NIHL ActionStreatham visit the Basingstoke Arena for the second time this season to play your Trane sponsored Basingstoke Bison who will be looking to continue their great home form with a win.
Streatham currently sit in fifth position in the league with 20 points from 18 games whilst Bison sit in 4th place with 23 points from 16 games.
In games so far this season played between the two teams Bison have come away with 2 victories and overtime win 4 – 3 at home and 4 – 2 win in Streatham
On Sunday night the Herd visit Gillingham to play the Invicta Dynamos.
The game starts at 6.30pm with doors opening at 5.30pm.

The Bison will be without young forward, Liam Morris who sits the second game of a 6 game ban handed out at last weekend’s home game versus the Bracknell Bees.
Looking ahead to the weekend games Bison player/coach Ashley Tait said: “We have worked hard in training and in Streatham and Invicta we know we have to bring our A game to the get victory, there’s no easy games in this league this season”.
Three to watch for Streatham:
Michael Farn – Defence – last year’s NIHL S1 Player of the year returned to Streatham for his second season having had an illustrious career in Milton Keynes in the EIPHL with the Lightning prior to their step up to the EIHL. Born in Durham he played his junior hockey in Billingham before moving to Swindon in 2007 / 08 to play in the EPIHL where he stayed for 2 seasons. He moved to the Milton Keynes Lightning in 2009 / 10 and played there until 2016 / 17, during this period he won a league championship in 2009 / 10 and in his last season he won a cup and play off double. All told he played 486 games in the EPIHL returning 231 points. Michael also represented Great Britain and U18 and U20 age groups.
Adam Carr – Forward – another player picked up from Milton Keynes Lightning when they moved to the EIHL, Adam born in Durham played his junior hockey in Sunderland before heading to the Isle of Wight to play for the Raiders. Moved to Milton Keynes in 2005 / 06 where he was club captain for 8 years, his number hangs in the rafters of Milton Keynes having been retired at the 2016 / 17 season. Adam played 671 games returning 564 points in all competitions in the EPIHL and represented Great Britain and both U18 and U20 age groups.
Damien King – Netminder – Damian was born in Peterborough and is the son of Peterborough legend Kevin and brother of Euan who this year ices for Peterborough 2 team . Damian iced for the Phantoms and Lightning in EPIHL before joining the MK Thunder in 2014 / 15 and then moving to Invicta Dynamos in 2015 / 16 where he has played for the last 4 seasons. Last season he recorded a 91.4 save percentage and in his 4 seasons in NIHL he has averaged a 90 plus ratings. In 2016 / 17 he spent the summer icing for Canterbury Red Devils in New Zealand and again he returned a plus 90% save average. This season in 10 NIHL games his save average is 92%
