Weekend Preview: Bracknell Double header, #BucketsForBowers & Seat Availability Update For SaturdayAs we enter the penultimate weekend of the NIHL season we welcome the Bracknell Bees to the arena for the final time followed by our final trip to Bracknell to play the Bees.
As has been widely publicised on social media MK Thunder forward Ross Bowers received a very serious injury eye injury last Sunday evening and since then there has been a phenomenal response to the Go Fund Me page.
As many of you know Ross played 39 games for the Bison in the Elite League in the 2008 / 09 season and is remembered fondly for his fast tempo and aggressive play.
This Saturday we will be holding a collection for Ross at the game which is now trending far and wide as #BucketsForBowers, so that Bison fans too can make their contribution to help Ross and his family in the weeks ahead, please give generously.

Saturday’s game pitches the Bison who sit in 3rd place against the Bees who are in 4th in league.
Results between the teams this season see the Bison so far having 3 wins (At home by 3 – 1, 6 -2 and in Bracknell by 6 -2) and losing the first game in Bracknell 2 – 0 with the winner being an Empty Net Goal.
Saturday’s game faces off at the usual time of 6.30pm with doors opening at 5.30pm and Sunday’s game in Bracknell faces off at 6pm.
Coach Tait commented, “We played well last weekend and we’re looking to build momentum as we head towards the Play Offs, the boys have worked hard in practice and we’re looking forward to taking on our local rivals once again”.
