International Recognition For the “Voice of the Herd”

The Trane sponsored Basingstoke Bison are pleased to announce that our very own “Voice of the Herd”, Daren Bavister "Bavy" has earned recognition for his unique, fan pleasing match announcing style having been offered the high profile position as host for the Olympic qualifiers to be held in Nottingham early 2020.

Darren commented, "I love what I do! That's never in doubt when I take my place at the Bison home games. It's always a privilege to be seen as the conductor for the Basingstoke wall of sound which has opened up amazing opportunities for me whether that be travelling to Asia for the Masters Football or the FA at Wembley Stadium but this really is an honour to be associated with team GB and Ice Hockey UK, who know where this event may lead."

Commenting on behalf of the Bison John Neville said, “Everyone in Basingstoke loves Bavy’s style and how he always plays the right music for the right occasion its great not only for Daren but also for the club and for club officials to given these unique opportunities – I’m sure the fans will love his all-round style”.

The event will be held at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th February 2020.
