New Years Day Preview - Away in Swindon

The Trane Basingstoke Bison will start 2020 with a New Years Day trip to the Link Centre in Swindon, where they take on the Wildcats in a NIHL National league game, face off is 4pm.

With the teams having met at the Silverdome in Basingstoke as recently as Boxing Day, where the outcome was an edge of the seat 3-2 shootout win for the Bison, 2nd placed Swindon will be looking a quick reversal of that result, and the Bison will be hoping to make it a 3rd win over the Wildcats this season.

In games played over the final weekend of 2019, Swindon beat Bracknell 4-1 at home and followed that up with a 4-1 win in Romford, while the Herd won a thrilling game against the Raiders, 6-5 in overtime on Saturday, but came up short in Peterborough on Sunday.
With the leaders Telford losing at home to MKL on Sunday, Swindon will be looking to close the 6 point gap at the top, while the Herd will hope to begin the new year by returning to winning ways.

Lastly, a very Happy New Year to the players, staff and supporters of the Bison, here’s hoping the 2nd half of the season is as exciting as the first.
