Bison Statement and All You Need to Know Update for Tonight’s Game

These are unprecedented times and after the EIHA statement released last night clicking here-

The Trane sponsored Basingstoke Bison, can confirm that our fixtures this weekend are to take place as scheduled.

The EIHA, National League owners and the Bison will continue to monitor guidance and take note of ongoing developments which we communicate to our fanbase through the club website and our social media feeds.

Decisions regarding our final weekend of league competition, the Play Offs and our End of Season Awards Night will be reviewed in the days ahead and communicated accordingly.

In light of the current situation and uncertainties for now we are suspending pre-sales both online and at the arena box office for next weekend’s home game versus the Bracknell Bees.

Over the past few weeks several measures have been put in place taking into consideration the issues surrounding the COVID-19 virus. This has included restricting dressing room access and sanitising equipment and areas used during our match-night games.

We would ask all supporters coming to our games, to take note of the guidance issued by Public Health England:

If you have symptoms of the virus - a new continuous cough (this means you’ve starting coughing repeatedly) or a temperature of 37.8C or 100F or more (you feel hot to touch on your chest and / or back). please stay at home.

If you are coming to the game, please:

• Wash your hands properly and regularly
• Refrain from unnecessary contact, – e.g. shaking hands and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
• Throw away any tissue after use, to prevent contamination – ‘Catch It, Bin It, Kill It’
• Don’t share drinks from the same bottle or glass

Hand Sanitation dispensers will be available for supporters to use at the arena and these will be in the reception area, by the skate hire hatches and in the bar upstairs.

For tonight’s game, you may be asked or told by match-night staff that things you are used to doing cannot take place.

The 50/50 draw and SOTB draws will continue to take place and this week’s winner is guaranteed to leave the arena with a minimum of £250.00.

Tonight’s Chuck up a Puck / duck will continue put all pucks and ducks will be thrown from by the double doors where the Olympia comes onto the ice and not by the team benches, please bear with us so that everyone has a chance to throw their pucks and ducks.

Tonight’s shirt off the Back is Sam Talbot’s home warm up jersey in light of the current situation unfortunately this jersey will not be worn in the pre-game warm up but will be presented on the ice after the match by Sam.

Unfortunately, we have also taken the decision to not have the Player’s Signing Desk after tonight’s game.

Tonight’s After Match Skate will take place as normal but before it commences there will be a short delay whilst the ice is re-surfaced.

We ask for all supporters to please respect the precautionary measures as will be advised by match-night staff.

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing you at tonight’s game.
