Club Update - 21 April 2020

With the official end of the 2019 / 20 season having now passed at the weekend, the Trane Basingstoke Bison are already planning, signing and prepping for the 2020 / 21 season.

Firstly, we’d like to pay tribute to all those people from within the Bison family who are classed as key workers. Supporters, players, officials or a loved one of a supporter, player or official who are on the frontline every day currently risking their own lives for others whilst fighting this deadly virus. We thank all of you for the services you are providing.

EOS Awards
Everyone at the Bison would like to thank you all for continued your support last season, we were all really looking forward to our annual End of Season Awards night at the Apollo Hotel scheduled for this Friday the 24th April 2020, but unfortunately due to government guidance in these unprecedented times we have had to cancel the event.

Whilst we can’t all celebrate together, we will be announcing the winners of all the awards in due course, further details to be announced shortly.

We are also working with the Apollo to find an alternative date for a summer event when we can all get together and celebrate the end of what was a great season with as many of the players available in attendance, further details on this event will be announced in due course.

Other Updates
Signing announcements will be commencing this week so keep your eye on the club website and social feeds for more news.

Own & Loan shirts from last season have been washed and cleaned and are locked in the rink, once lockdown procedures are relaxed, we will then confirm how we can get the shirts presented / delivered to the owners.

We will be continuing during the summer with our “Instagram Takeovers” with players and club officials being put in the hot seat.

Over the next week or so our programme contributors will be rounding up the season in their own inevitable style giving their own take on last season’s action.

We hope to release our 2020 / 21 Season Ticket packages at the beginning of May, details once confirmed will be released on the club website and social feeds.

Finally, we thank you all for your patience and understanding, please do follow government guidance by staying at home and staying safe.
