POTENTIAL STEP FORWARDS IN NIHL NATIONAL RETURNING TO PLAY

Last night the EIHA shared some great news for our plans to return to competitive play, when they announced that they had successfully secured from the government £1.2m for the three NIHL divisions.

Bison to Start Adult Hockey Sessions

With the Bison not being able to take to the ice due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and current government restrictions Coach Tait and the Trane sponsored Basingstoke Bison are pleased to confirm that they will be running a series of five Adult Recreational hockey sessions on Sunday evenings commencing from Sunday 1st November 2020.

The sessions are suitable for any player currently participating in the EIHA Recreational ice hockey programme.

Confirmed coaches for the sessions are Head Coach Ashley Tait and Bison netminder Dan Weller Evans,. There will also be guest appearances at the sessions from players on the Bison roster.

Coach Tait commenting on these up and coming sessions said, ”Whilst we can’t ice the senior team it gives me and the club an opportunity to work with the groups we normally wouldn’t have chance to get on the ice with,

Ashley continued, “It’s great that as well as working with the juniors we can also work with local recreational players and pass on our skills and knowledge so that they can enjoy what after all is the best game in the world.

Applications are now open on a first come first served basis, 2 sessions are available to available to book – 5pm to 6pm and 6.15pm to 7.15pm.
