Great Start to the Bison Junior Hockey School

2 days have now passed in our inaugural Junior Bison Hockey Camp led by Bison Head Coach Ashley Tait and Junior Bison U9 & U11 Head Coach Ashley Skinns.

The children have all received Hockey Academy camp jerseys and have now completed close to 5 hours of ice time so far.

On Monday morning after breakfast, our classroom session was a talk by Bison & GB U16 Equipment Manager Gary Mitchell who gave an in depth discussion of how to look after your kit, how the pros set their kit up in the stalls as well as a tour of the Bison equipment room and skate sharpening area.

Tuesdays classroom sessions were all based around team building and one of the tasks was the kids spelling the word hockey by the kids forming the shapes of the letters with their bodies.

Each day the coaches choose a Hardest Working Player of the Day congratulations to U15 Harry Tempest who was awarded a Bison cap and Tuesday recipient of a Bison cap was Under 11 Reggie Howe congratulations to you both.

The camp continues to Friday with lots more on and off ice sessions.
