As the “Stampede Into 2022/23″ continues –

Attention fans of the GalxC Cooling Services sponsored Basingstoke Bison, it’s time to reach for your diary’s and calendar’s, as the club are pleased to announce its 2022/23 pre-season fixtures schedule.

On the first weekend in September the Herd will face off against our local rivals Bees IHC who’ll make the short trip to the Silverdome on Saturday 3rd September face off at our usual time of 6.30pm, with the return game at the Hangar in Slough the following day Sunday 4th of September facing off at 5pm. Ticket details will announced in due course.

For many years now the Bees and the Bison have had a healthy local rivalry so expect these games to be very competitive and entertaining with no holds barred as both teams look to set important markers leading into the Planet Ice NIHL National League.

On the second weekend of September we welcome one of the “new boys” of the Planet NIHL National League the “Bristol Pitbulls” who make the journey east along the M4 to the Basingstoke Arena for their first visit on Saturday 10th September(Face Off 6.30pm), with the Bison travelling to Bristol on Sunday 11th September for the return fixture (Face Off XXX).

Coach Tait commenting on the announcement of these exciting games for Herd fans to watch said,

“Having two weeks of pre-season gives me a great opportunity to see where the team looks as we enter an 11 club Planet Ice NIHL National League season, it’s been a hard year for recruitment this summer with the addition of 2 new teams and an extra 40 players to find but I am happy with how recruitment has gone so far and I know the players cant wait to play in front of our loud and passionate fans – see you all on the third”.

So there you have it, only 10 weeks until the first puck drops on a new season, in the meantime enjoy the rest of your summer Bison fans and remember to keep an eye on social media for further news regarding signings, season tickets and own ‘n loan shirts etc as we build up to the start of the season #IsItSeptemberYet.
