As the Stampede towards the 2022 / 23 season continues the GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison are pleased to announce the signing of exciting young Forward Adrian Dusznik who joins from the Guildford Phoenix.

Although Polish by birth, the 21 year old, 6’ 2”, 80kg, left handed shot Dusznik trained as a junior in the UK, therefore is not classified as an import by the EIHA.

Adrian began his hockey career playing for the Slough Jets at both U16 & U18 level, where between 2013 & 2016 he made 34 appearances, scoring 12 points (2+10) & racked up 132 penalty minutes.

This was followed by a spell in Guildford between 2015 & 2017 playing for both the Phoenix & Firekings, making 38 appearances, scoring 42 points (15+27) & picked up 144 penalty minutes.

Next for Adrian was a couple of seasons in Swindon, where he played 14 times for the Wildcats in NIHL2 scoring 14 points (6+5) with 10 penalty minutes, once for the Wildcats in NIHL1 and 20 times for Okanagan Hockey Academy, playing alongside fellow Bison Josh Kelly, scoring 27 points (11+16) and picked up 44 penalty minutes.

At this point in his hockey career Adrian chose to move to Sweden, joining Visby Roma J20, making 62 appearances between 2018 & 2020, scoring 16 points (5+11) & earning 100 penalty minutes.

A season in his home country playing for UKS Niedzwiadki Sanok followed, in 22 appearances he scored 23 points (8+15) with 16 penalty minutes, before returning to the UK & another season with Guildford Phoenix, where he was part of the 2021/22 NIHL2 treble winning roster, playing 14 times, scoring 24 points(9+15) with just the 2 penalty minutes.

No doubt fans of the Stampede will give Adrian a warm welcome as he becomes the latest member of the Bison family.

Bison Head Coach Ash Tait said this regarding Adrian signing for the Herd said,

“Adrian is another guy who gives us needed depth. He’s shown great application already and I’m looking forward to working with him”.

Dusznik himself commented,

“I am very excited for the upcoming season and grateful for the opportunity, cant wait to see the fans in the stands”.
