The news keeps on coming this weekend for the fans of the Herd as we Stampede towards the 2022 / 23 season …

The GalxC Cooling Services sponsored Basingstoke Bison are pleased to announce that British forward Hallam Wilson has re-signed for the 2022/23 season.

For the 24 year old, 5’ 11” Winchester born Wilson this will be his 5th season with the Bison, over the course of the previous 4 he has made in the region of 200 appearances, scoring 44 points (23+21) and incurred 117 penalty minutes.

He is very much a team player who can play a variety of roles, giving nothing less than 100%  every shift and it’s this attribute which has endeared him to fans of the Stampede.

Hallam is another ‘made in Basingstoke’ player having played at every level from Under-10‘s through to the senior Bison team, therefore is a perfect example for any junior Bison who dream of one day pulling on a Bison jersey.

Head Coach Ashley Tait commented on Hallam’s re-signing,

“Halz has started understand his role more and develop into that type of player who is team first and tries to play the right way. He is another one who I hope to see develop into a position where he’s commanding more ice and responsibility”.

While Hallam had this to say about returning for another season,

“Can’t wait to be back, last year probably didn’t go as we might have hoped so this year we need too set that right. I’m excited to get back in the dressing room with the boys and work towards a positive and exciting season”.

Tomorrow at 10am we go on sale with 2022 / 23 Season Ticket package and there may just be another signing as we round off the weekend keep your eyes peeled Bison fans on our social media channels and the club website #IsItSeptemberYet
