The signing news keeps continuing here in Bisonland with the confirmation that the Basingstoke Bison have added to their line-up with the re-signing of local lad, British forward Hallam Wilson.

Winchester-born Wilson, who is aged 23, stands 5’ 11” tall, weighs 76kg and shoots left handed, iced in 45 games during the 2019 / 20 season, scoring 8 points (3 goals & 5 assists) whilst serving 32 minutes in penalties.

Altogether Hallam has made 130 senior appearances for the Herd, scoring 17 times with 14 assists and amassing 76 penalty minutes.

Hallam has the Bison running through his veins, having played for every single junior age group in Basingstoke from the under-10s to the Herd as well as icing for NIHL Buffalo with the exception of the 2016 – 17 season where he iced for the Oxford City Stars.

He has proved to be an inspiration for other young local players, who may be looking one day to pull on a Bison uniform.

Hallam commenting on his re-signing said,

“Can’t wait to be back with the Bison for another season, I’m really looking forward to getting back with the boys and pushing for some silverware. It’ll be great to hear our fans wall of sound once again come September”.

Coach Tait commenting on Hallam being back with the Herd for a fourth season said,

“I think Halz has really adapted to the role he’s had over the past 2 seasons and I can play him up and down the line up if needed”.

Ashley continued,

“He’s a great guy to have in the room and always wants to improve”.

Hallam will once again wear the number 11 jersey for the Herd in 2021 / 22 and his light, dark and warm-up jerseys will very shortly be available you supporters to have the opportunity to purchase and loan back to the club Hallam’s jersey through our ever popular Jersey “Own & Loan” scheme, details of which will be released later today (Friday).
